Popular interior designer Jane Davidson has embarked on a new venture, converting her great-grandfather’s home on the harbourside at Stonehaven into a boutique guest house, furnished in Jane’s beautifully luxurious style.
Each of the seven spacious bedrooms is individually designed in a rich palette of sumptuous fabrics and furniture, with free wi-fi, designer bathrooms, work and lounge areas and the same beds that are used in Aberdeen’s only 5 Star hotel.
The exposed stone walls in the executive lounge provide a baronial counterpoint to the dark sofa, piled with cushions and the cosy breakfast area serves as the ideal backdrop for the full Scottish.
Such is the combined appeal of the picturesque harbour views and opulent décor, that within less than a week of opening, Shorehead had received bookings from six countries. It’s a perfect gem.
