Long-time West End favourite, Treehouse Interiors, has branched out with a brand new store with a focus on urban living and gifts. The gorgeous Treehouse City offers a taste of what’s available at Treehouse’s huge Midmar retail space.
The new store at 3 Whitehall Road was previously Treehouse’s flooring shop. You’ll still find a selection of flooring, but there’s a lot more on offer. Check out the wonderfully well designed and built Neptune kitchen, living room and bedroom displays, augmented by their paint range and brilliant home accessories – perfect for streamlined city apartments and homes. The full range, which also includes ideas for larger kitchens and country living is on show at Midmar.
Another highlight is Voyage Maison Couture, featuring fabulous Scottish Voyage Sofas, cushions, rugs, lighting, fabrics and prints. Again, Treehouse have curated the collection providing a sophisticated urban approach. The full selection is available at Midmar, but the cool and calm greys and satins at Treehouse City are perfect for
a streamlined interior.
You’ll find it difficult to resist the Treehouse Coffee Shop, one of the West End’s most popular little cafés, with fabulous home bakes, cakes, sandwiches and designer coffees and teas. Perfect for a chat, or just to gather your thoughts while you mull over your home makeover ideas.
The brilliant gift room is a godsend. The Lampe Berger perfume lamps and diffusers smell wonderful. There’s a great selection of candles, accessories and faux flowers from SIA, a selection of thoughtful baby gifts, as well as toiletries from Scottish Fine Soaps and Arran Aromatics. Add in a selection of limited edition prints from Gallery Treehouse and some fab mirrors and lanterns and it’s like a miniature version of the Midmar store.
If you have more time to dedicate to browsing, then a trip out to Midmar is a must. Not only is the drive scenic, but paradise awaits anyone giving their home a makeover. You’ll find one of the most comprehensive selection of wooden flooring in Scotland, with the latest ranges from top suppliers such as Kahrs, Panaget and Broadleaf.. You’ll also find carpeting from Crucial Trading, Alternative Flooring and Victoria, fantastic stone and tile ranges, and stunning laminates and vinyls from Amtico and Berry. In summer, the decking area is given over to one of the best selections of outdoor furniture around as well as garden accessories and planters. The gift room at Midmar features many of the same brands as the city store, but with an even wider selection and the gallery offers local art, prints, sculpture and cards, so something is bound to take your fancy. Outside, you can plan a home office or garden room, while admiring DabDen’s buildings.
Upstairs, you’ll find four full sized kitchen layouts from Neptune, as well as their home bar, living, dining and bathroom furniture. Treehouse offer a free full 3D AutoCAD design service with the whole Neptune Inventory.
Like the city store, Midmar also stock Voyage Maison, but with more emphasis on rural grandeur. If you’re looking for a focal point, then a visit to Midmar’s showroom of wood burning stones and spectacular fireplaces from Hutcheson’s of Portsoy is a must.
If all the shopping has made you peckish, head downstairs to Café Treehouse, which
is run by social enterprise Inspire, where you’ll find a relaxed atmosphere and a moreish menu.
Whether you choose Treehouse City or Treehouse Midmar, you’ll find inspiration and a whole lot more.
