At a time when our corner of the world is suffering economic maladies which are the result of geo-politics rather than being of our own making, it makes sense for each of us, as consumers and as businesses, to support each other.

As consumers, we can do our bit by seeking out restaurants and food shops that work with local suppliers, or supporting shops and galleries that sell locally made goods. Wouldn’t you rather your purchases kept local people and businesses going? You don’t need to be a big business to join up and you don’t need to spend more, just think about what you buy anyway and switch to a local supplier if you can.
