Well-known local interior designer Jane Davidson and her multi-talented husband Earl have transformed her great-grandfather’s home on the harbourside at Stonehaven into a boutique guest house, furnished in Jane’s beautifully luxurious style.
Both Jane and her mother were raised in the house, which makes for a wealth of fascinating tales about the characters who used to live there and along the harbourside.

Every aspect of the building, right down to the smallest detail has benefited from Jane’s design élan and Earle’s impressive building and joinery skills, providing a showcase for the pair’s design and interiors business which is based a few doors along at Jane’s Interiors, one of the North-east’s best loved home stores.
The exposed stone walls in the executive lounge provide a baronial counterpoint to the comfy sofa, piled with cushions and the cosy breakfast area provides the ideal backdrop for the full Scottish, or a continental start to the day.
