A pre-Christmas charity event saw the hungry lunchtime crowd at the prestigious H1 Hill of Rubislaw dig deep to raise an amazing £2,000 for an Aberdeen based foodbank. The initiative was organised by The Bay Fish and Chips in association with Caber Coffee and Eat, Van, Drink and was part of Original 106’s Christmas appeal.

Despite the December cold, diners left their offices at H1 and the neighbouring Charter building, to queue in the H1 carpark for their ‘pigs in blankets’ or fish and chips and donate a minimum of £5 to Community Food Initiatives North-East (CFINE). Claire and David from Original also broadcast live from the event.

A steady line of customers came out during the 11am to 2pm time slot to support the initiative. All the money raised will go to help disadvantaged individuals and families in the area.
