We’ve just discovered the best reason to take a trip up towards Banff. The picturesque Eden Watermill, just off the A947, offers a delightful combination of locally made high quality craft, gifts and a great little tearoom in the working watermill. You’ll find hand-crafted glassware, jewellery, woollens and textiles all made in Scotland. Elaine, Eden Watermill’s lovely welcoming owner, also has her Needlenose Studio upstairs where she makes fabulous Harris Tweed and tartan handbags and accessories to order.
The bijou tearoom is a little gem, with some great cakes, homemade scones and light lunches made from the freshest local ingredients. In the summer, the deck offers restful woodland views, or you can cosy up by the fire in cooler weather. Once you visit, you may not want to leave!
