Alpha Clinic’s new state-of-the-art premises in Carden Place has now fully opened. The new clinic features two separate areas, with one dedicated to aesthetic treatments and the other to surgical procedures.
The ground floor features a reception area and treatment rooms for Alpha’s portfolio of aesthetic treatments including injectables, Ultherapy, Dermapen, PRP, Dermalux and Skin Peels. Mr Thanassi Athanassopoulos, Alpha’s Clinical Director and renowned cosmetic and restorative surgeon also has his consultation room on this level.
The lower ground floor has been converted to an exceptional surgical suite, complete with a dedicated reception area, admissions and discharge facilities and two surgical theatres with recovery areas. The surgeries are classed as a hospital, offering both general and local anaesthetics. One is reserved for major surgery, while the other is used for minor procedures. In all cases, surgery is provided on a day case, outpatient basis.
Surgical procedures are performed by a highly experienced team headed by Mr Thanassi Athanassopoulos, one of the country’s most highly qualified and skilled Plastic Surgeons, specialising in facial and breast surgery. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Aberdeen University Medical School. He commented, ‘At Alpha Clinic, we realised that every client has different aspirations, so each operation is a bespoke procedure. It’s all about looking naturally younger and refreshed and feeling your best whether that’s a minor procedure or reconstructive surgery.
‘Simply put, plastic surgery is my passion and helping people regain confidence, self-assurance and pride in their appearance for me, is the best part. Over the last few years we have built a great team focused on excellence.’
As a result of the move to the new facilities, there are also some new members in the Alpha team. Sinead Collins has joined Alpha Clinic as our in-house Clinical Pharmacist Independent Prescriber. Sinead will also provide injectable treatments. Aesthetician, Laura Dean, also joins the clinic. Laura specialises in ZO Skin Health Peels, Dermalux Flex MD and Dermaroller treatments.
Managing Director Leah Athanassopoulos explained, ‘We’re also hoping to open our new Inverness clinic in October. The Drummond Street site will allow our clients who are based in the Highlands and Moray to have consultations, aesthetic treatments and surgical follow up visits without needing to travel all the way to Aberdeen. The Inverness clinic will offer three treatment rooms and will offer the same industry-leading treatment options as our Aberdeen clinic.
