Pilates is renowned for helping to strengthen core muscles, promoting a long and lean physique and improving flexibility.

At Mannofield’s Wallace Practice, Pilates classes are run by qualified physiotherapists and are perfect for anyone carrying a niggling injury or weakness.

For a form of exercise that involves small movements and quite a lot of lying down, Pilates is surprisingly tiring. You don’t need to be remotely fit to get started and the classes are friendly and non-competitive, so it’s fine if you undertake the exercises with all the grace of an arthritic hippo attempting to climb a tree.

Classes resume – for beginners, intermediate and advanced students – from August 24th. New members are required to take a thorough assessment with a physiotherapist before joining a class.
