Eye Care Scotland is the latest addition to Albyn Hospital’s portfolio of healthcare services.
This new eye care service is supported by a team of highly skilled and qualified local consultant ophthalmologists. This insures that patients are seen and treated by the same consultant from their first consultation all the way through to the completion of their treatment.
Patients enjoy fast access to treatment where appointments and procedures can be carried out at a time that suits even the busiest of lifestyles.
The Outpatient department can offer clinic appointments within days of an enquiry and can offer treatment for a wide range of common eye disorders including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal and corneal disease.
Albyn offer the latest treatment technologies including a specialised laser treatment area for those with specific forms of glaucoma or posterior capsular opacification (PCO), which can affect up to a quarter of people who have undergone cataract surgery.
Selected surgical treatments are available at Albyn’s state-of-the-art theatre facilities.
These include cataract surgery, ocular tissue transplantation and treatments of glaucoma, and are fully supported by a dedicated and highly skilled nursing and theatre team. Treatments are available on either an insured or self-pay basis.
