From early morning coffee or breakfast, to lunch with friends or a fancy piece in the afternoon, the Breadmaker on Rosemount Viaduct is perfect for those who appreciate fantastic artisan baking and a coffee shop, topped off with a friendly atmosphere.

The staff always take the time to chat to customers as they prepare their freshly brewed speciality teas and coffees and deliver their delicious sandwiches, cakes and snacks to the table, or to take- away. Everyone’s always laughing, smiling and having a good time and a bit of a banter, and the Rosemount Viaduct location makes it handy for the city centre and Rosemount shopping trips alike.

The team gather customer feedback and suggestions every day to ensure the operation runs to the highest standards. Recent additions to the menu are hot rolls including a phenomenal haggis and cheese melt
and a delicious tuna and cheese melt. For the more traditional customer, they also do a cracking bacon roll, and freshly made soups.

If you’d rather have something cold, then you can choose from a range of sandwiches or a tasty selection of traybakes, scrumptious cakes and muffins which are all made by the bakers and trainees in the bakery downstairs.
They also make the best bread in town, baking fresh from 4am every morning and supplying many of the city’s best restaurants as well as keeping the shop shelves well supplied. There are almost twenty different breads available. Try the delicious new soda bread, spelt bread, rye, or gluten-free options as well as old favourites like fruit breads, sourdough and the yummy cheese damper.

It’s not just about a great café, fabulous bread and cakes and a friendly atmosphere though, as the Breadmaker is one of Aberdeen’s leading social enterprises, training those with learning disabilities to bake and work in the café.
