Andrew Scott Dental Care looks forward to being open once practices are allowed to provide routine dental care again, so that they can deal with any issues people have had during this period of closure and to continue the treatments started before the COVID-19 outbreak. Since closing on the 24th March the team have been busy preparing for the reopening of the practice by introducing a new team member, creating new protocols to protect clients and staff from Covid-19 and investing in air sterilisers.
The team are excited to welcome Roshan Fernandez to join the team. Roshan is a highly regarded dentist who was previously a partner of Queens Road Dental Practice. Roshan is able to offer a wide range of treatments from routine check-ups to cosmetic dentistry including smile design, orthodontics and facial aesthetic injections such as fillers and muscle relaxing injections.
The new protocols will involve clients being temperature checked on arrival, provided with a face mask to wear when they are not in the dental chair, and the dentist using 2 surgeries to allow for increased disinfection between patients. The protocols are shown on the website along with a short video which will allow patients to see what to expect when they visit the practice following lockdown.
At Andrew Scott Dental Care they have invested in new air filtration systems by Radic8 which filter the air and pass it over a UV light which kills viruses, these new units compliment the existing air filtration system which filters viruses and other particles from the air. These systems were used in Wuhan hospitals where they were treating patients with Covid-19.
They also have an online booking system to allow patients to make arrangements for when they are open again.
