Magnolia Lane Bridal in Peterculter should be every bride’s first when it comes to finding the perfect dress for her big day. Owner Georgia Dale explained, ‘Each bride and her party has exclusive use of our boutique. It’s a relaxed atmosphere and we’re happy for guests to browse the dresses and suggest styles. We have a little chat to see what the bride has in mind, then try on different styles and silhouettes to find out what the bride feels most comfortable and beautiful in.
‘For 2022, we’re seeing a lot of minimalist luxury. Clean cut and simple dresses created from luxurious fabrics like Mikado and crepe. Statement sleeves are popular, often with volume. Some styles come with separate little puff sleeves which change the look of a strapless dress.
Square and round necklines are making a major comeback. These really flatter collarbones and shoulders and suits many different dress silhouettes.
‘At Magnolia Lane, we stock dresses from Randy Fenoli, Herve Paris, House of St. Patrick Studio, Nicole Jolies, Ladybird and Freda Bennet with Modeca are joining us soon. Our prices range from £900 to £2500 and we stock sample dresses from a UK12 – UK28, with the majority being UK12-UK16. Lead times are 5-6 months, but some are as quick as 8-10 weeks.
‘We now offer bridesmaids dresses from Onlyway. The same dress can be worn in 15 different ways and they offer 46 colours. We will also be stocking some of their new wrap collection dresses. These feature a choice of sleeves and necklines and come in a wide selection of colours in jersey, velvet or London Luxe, so every bridesmaid will look and feel great.’
