Is your exercise regime in a rut? Have you stopped making improvements? Are you struggling with motivation? As your body constantly adapts to the demands of exercise, progress only results if you keep stepping up and changing your activities.

Shake it up as you head into spring: sign up for a challenge that you’d not normally contemplate. How about taking on a 10K, beginner’s triathlon or a cycling sportive? Be brave and take on a Tough Mudder with some friends.  A bit of fear and entering into the unknown can be a great motivator!

Join a sports club and learn a new sport. You’ll gain in fitness and motor skills and there’s also the social side – making it much more enjoyable than an endless session on the treadmill.

If you always struggle with motivation, try new things until you find what works for you.
