Fashion has taken a back seat over the past couple of months. We were expecting to see a lot of sugar-sweet pastels and puffed organza sleeves in the shops. Think Disney Princesses meets Doris Day. Instead, the height of fashion has become the kind of grungy joggers, cosy socks, t-shirts and hoodies that no Disney Princess would be seen dead in. Quite rightly, style has been sacrificed for comfort, but even when restrictions are lifted and we can start to see friends again, we’re not going to feel like floating around in a cloud of organza.
