Andrew Scott Dental has reopened and is now able to provide most treatments including routine and cosmetic procedures as well as emergency dental care. In some cases, those in vulnerable groups or with underlying medical conditions may need to wait a little longer until clearance is given.
Andrew Scott explained, ‘Our new regime is designed to welcome patients back in the utmost safety. There’s an extra layer of precautions for patients and practice staff alike. As well as each dentist or hygienist using two surgeries, we have enhanced PPE and brought in fogging systems and air filtration systems. These filter out particles smaller than viruses and one system incorporates a UVC light which can kill viruses.
‘Our website has a short video on what patients can expect when they come for their appointments and screening forms to complete. It sounds a bit daunting, but it takes everyone through the process in a way which minimises the anxiety that might otherwise have been experienced.
‘We’ve had these systems in place for a few weeks. They work well and so we can provide a full spectrum of preventative, maintenance and cosmetic dental and aesthetic treatments in a safe environment’.
