Ranked amongst Scotland’s most skilled jewellery designers and makers, Jacqui and Duncan Grant, will work with you to design a piece which will be truly treasured. They hold a selection of gems in stock, but can also access an impressive selection of everything from ametrine to zircon if a particular type, shape or cut of stone is required. You can even present the stone and allow the recipient to help design the piece of their dreams. It’s possible incorporate heirloom stones or melt unloved gold into a bespoke ring, pendant or earrings, designing to suit the taste and lifestyle of the wearer.
Each bespoke piece has its own story, but one recent commission was particularly special. Dean and Alana Stott asked Jacqui and Duncan to design and produce a matching pair of gold and sapphire pendants to help raise funds for The Pan American Highway Challenge 2018 in support of the Heads Together campaign. One pendant was auctioned at a charity ball, to help fundraise for Dean’s 2018 epic record-breaking attempt to cycle the entire length of the Pan-American Highway from Argentina to Alaska. The other is destined for Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, a patron of Heads Together.
The commission process normally takes a few weeks from initial appointment, through modelling the design in wax, casting, mounting the stones and finishing.
