…with Dominique Dawson of Finnies the Jeweller.

The New Year has brought extra cheer for those who embraced one of last year’s hottest trends – with the good news that rose gold is here to stay.

The warmth and character has transferred effortlessly from the catwalk and at Finnies we have seen demand grow and grow, something we expect to continue throughout 2015.

Rose gold is also at the heart of another of this year’s in-demand looks, with stacking bracelets to the fore. With a mix of rose, yellow and white gold sitting alongside some stunning silver pieces, particularly from our Italian-made range, there are wonderful opportunities to create unique and eye-catching combinations in a wide array of price brackets – where Chanel can sit perfectly side by side with Zara. Of course, diamond set bracelets are the perfect highlight.

On the subject of diamonds, we have noticed an interesting change in emphasis and among Finnies customers there have been some breath-taking and bold statements with engagement rings.

The traditional four-claw setting with a single stone will always be a timeless classic, but increasingly choices are becoming more adventurous – with coloured diamonds and gem stones providing real statement pieces. Large coloured stone cocktail rings are now among the popular choices for engagement rings, with far more bold and daring designs.

With so many interesting influences, we’re looking forward to a bright and sparkling year ahead.
