Chapelton of Elsick may be a new town, but it’s also home to a beauty salon which brings the art of looking and feeling good to a new level. Kelly and her partner Norman wanted The Lounge to combine top quality beauty and hair styling with gents’ barbering and grooming services in a fantastically relaxing atmosphere.
Kelly, who is a fully qualified make-up artist, heads up a team of three beauty therapists and a hair stylist. The business is already very popular, with a good reputation and there are plans to recruit additional staff over the next few months.
Kelly explained the idea behind The Lounge, saying, ‘At The Lounge, we want our clients to have a truly one to one special experience. We spend more time with our clients, getting to know them and allowing them to enjoy the treatment and have some time out. The emphasis is on comfort and luxury, with décor inspired by boutique hotel lounges.
‘The team are very friendly and each of us specialises in something different, be it massage, skin analysis, or hair colour, all using proven and effective high-end brands such as Elemis, OPI, High Definition, Nouveau Lashes and Perron Rigot. We offer a range of services for men and our sports massage is proving popular. Some services are available out of hours by arrangement and we also offer bridal packages or exclusive use of the salon. We have a double nail bar; perfect for coffee and a manicure with a friend or a double treatment room for side-by-side facials or a couple’s massage.
