Aaaarrgh! Brains!: Take part in the zombie walk

Lurch up to Aden Park on 29th July for a 5K walk/fun run where the participants dress as zombies. Some ripped up clothes, a few fake blood stains and a green foundation should do the trick. Foo’s Yer Coos? Turriff Agricultural Show

Celebrate the best of the region’s farming, food and heritage at the 2023 Turriff Show on Sunday 30 to Monday 31 July 2023. Over 300 exhibitor stands, a food and drink pavilion, 1500 exhibitor classes showing everything from ponies to pigeons. There’s also a stunt motorbike and quad display and even a 13ft walking dinosaur. Advanced tickets from turriffshow.org or on the day. 

A brush with culture: ArtAboyne

This year’s Art Aboyne showcases around 40 local artists working across a variety of media at the Victory Hall. The show runs from 22nd July to 12th August. Find out more at artaboyne.co.uk

Music to our ears: Stonehaven Folk Festival

What a performance: Twelfth Night at Leith Hall

Time travel: Antique and Vintage Fair

Turn up a treasure or two at the Antique and Vintage Fair at Norwood Hall Hotel on 27th August. Awkward if you spot something you still have in your wardrobe! The fair runs from 10-4 with entry being £2.
