This May, local businesswomen, Rosée Elliot is on a mission to bring colour and style into the lives of Aberdeen women as she looks to raise thousands of pounds for Alzheimer’s Scotland.
Rosée, who has been a House of Colour consultant for almost three years, has helped over 100 local men and women find the colour and style that is right for them. However this spring she is looking to not only help women find the confidence to dress, but also raise money for Alzheimer’s Scotland at her ‘ladies afternoon’ event at Raemoir House Hotel on Sunday 8th May.
Sponsored by local businesses including Raemoir House Hotel, Skene Investments and Genoa Black, the afternoon is set to be a glamorous event with fashion and lifestyle stands as well as a colourful fashion show.
Working from her studio in Strachan, Rosée has built up an excellent profile within Aberdeen and also holds a Certificate of Professional Excellence ensuring you receive the highest quality experiences in her classes. Now in her third year, Rosée is looking to give back by raising money for a charity that is very close to her heart. Following her mum’s diagnosis with Alzheimer’s in 2007, Rosée has been involved in various fundraising activities over the years. However, this year is set to be her biggest challenge as she looks to organise and hold a brand new event for the area.
She explained, “Since starting my work as a House of Colour consultant, I really have been given a new lease of life. I love the freedom of working at times that suit me, and meeting new and interesting people everyday! However, during this time, I’ve also witnessed the slow decline of my mother to the horrible disease of Alzheimer’s. Having held various small events at my studio in the past, I decided that this year I wanted to expand my offering to the wider public, and alongside other business partners, friends and associates, I hope to raise thousands of pounds for the worthwhile charity, Alzheimer’s Scotland.”
Tickets for the event, which runs from 11am – 3pm on Sunday 8th May at Raemoir House Hotel, are priced at £30 and can be purchased from rosee.elliott@houseofcolour.co.uk
Rosée added, “I’m so excited for the whole thing. Alzheimer’s is such a cruel disease, and really drains the colour from the lives of the people it touches. It is my real wish to bring a whole lot of colour into Aberdeen and the Shire, whilst raising money for Alzheimer’s Scotland!”
