The Ballroom, which was built in 1869, has hosted celebrations for over a century and has one of the largest dancefloors in the North-east, seating 160 for dinner or 200 evening guests. The spectacular vaulted ceiling is festooned with over 700 stag antlers and the open fireplace provides a picturesque backdrop for winter wedding
vows. If you’d rather have a church wedding, the charmingly rustic Episcopal chapel of St. Lesmo is
a few minutes’ walk away.
Couples have exclusive use of the ballroom and grounds, including the photogenic lawns, ancient woodland, heather moors and lochs. Onsite accommodation is provided in nine luxury self-catering cottages which can be booked for guests.
