Sarah heads for the top
Leading West-end hairdressers Salon 70 have a new face at the top. Salon Owner Richard Taylor, who has been responsible for many of the city’s best-coiffed heads for many decades, is retiring and his long-term right hand woman, Sarah Ironside is taking over.
Sarah explained, ‘Richard is great stylist, an amazing man and a legend. He’s been like a father to me for the past twenty years. He’s taught me so much and has provided so much support to the team here. Over the years, Richard has built Salon 70 into a friendly, busy salon with a loyal clientele and a great reputation and I’m so happy to be the new owner.
‘I’ve been managing Salon 70 for a few years and now that Richard is taking a well earned rest, it’s my job to build on all that he has achieved. We have clients of all ages, and offer a full menu of both hair and beauty services. The stylists are all Wella colour trained technicians and we are known for our hair extensions too. We also offer gent’s barbering and have the Beauty Room next door to Salon 70, where we offer beauty treatments, nails and holistic therapies and even have our own make-up artist.
Sarah herself is one of the region’s most sought after bridal specialists, working with brides all over Scotland to create the perfect look for their big day.
