It’s here! Say hello to our gorgeous new issue for June/July 2017. Now on its way throughout the North-east of Scotland!

The Scottish summer, like third marriages, is often a triumph of hope over experience. No matter how many dull, damp days we experience, we hope that each summer will bring an endless vista of gloriously warm weather, filled with simple pleasures, lazy al fresco meals, floaty dresses, sunblock-striped children running in and out of the garden sprinklers and a soporific air of wellbeing and contentment.

While we might hope for an enchanted summer, this time of year is all about making the best of what we have. There’s so much to do, so many places to explore, so much heritage and history, so many festivals and events, that we can forgive the odd shower or particularly unseasonal hailstorm.

Take the time to reconnect with the world about you, to enjoy the simple things in life: the things that really matter. Spend time with family and friends, try something new, treat yourself to a day out, a picnic or fish and chips at the seaside, or perhaps a bit of pampering or a new purchase or two. Summer is a time to renew, reconnect and refresh.

Whether the sun comes out or not, take the time to enjoy all the best that our city and shire has to offer. As usual, we’re here to help!
