You’ll find a great selection of well-designed traditional and modern wooden toys from eco-friendly manufacturers Hape and some fabulous playsets and models from Schleich. We like the farm sets, but the dinosaurs, medieval knights, ponies and fairies all have their pint-sized fans. There’s a great selection of wooden activity toys from educational specialists Melissa & Doug, which make learning fun, as well as selections from all the pre-school favourites.
For older kids, William Strachan stock one of the biggest selections of LEGO, with everything from basic blocks to high-tech kits. Naturally, they also stock popular board games, construction toys, art and creative kits, soft toys, outdoor toys, NERF guns and a whole wardrobe of dress up options for little princesses and small Stormtroopers. There’s lots of things you won’t find elsewhere, which is great if you’re looking for a gift for a special little someone.
The shop is also known for its vast array of toys with a movie or TV tie-in, so you’ll find a whole world full of Disney, Star Wars and DC Comics toys and collectibles, including items from all the latest releases.
As well as being toy experts, the staff also hold regular themed fun days based round LEGO or the latest family movies with lots of activities, goodies and face-painting. Better yet, there’s even an ice-cream counter, offering the perfect place
