One of the North-east’s favourite interiors businesses is on the move from Fraserburgh to a new studio at the Treehouse at Midmar. Garrod Interiors’ secret garden styled entrance opens the door to some of the most sought after interior brands from the UK and Europe, including Romo, Harlequin, Sanderson, Designers Guild, Silent Gliss, Osbourne & Little, Brian Yates Wallpapers, Zoffany, Morris, and VillaNova.

Owner Sheila Garrod has a wealth of experience in interiors and soft furnishings, combined with Jemma Louise Simpson’s social media and marketing knowledge the pair are an accomplished team. Sheila’s interest in fabrics began when learning dressmaking alongside her mother when she was just nine years old. Sheila has a diploma in professional curtain making and soft furnishings and has been running her business in Fraserburgh for the past nine years.

Sheila’s friendly, down-to-earth and practical approach is complemented by the gift of being able to fathom out what you like, even when you’re not too sure what you’re looking for! She’s happy to provide ideas and advice and can even offer a site visit for a small fee, which is refundable.

‘A home should be as unique and individual as the people who live there,’ Sheila explained, ‘There’s more to life than magnolia. We’re happy to help come up with ideas. These days, you needn’t spend a fortune to update your interiors. It might just be some new cushions that pull a room together. Our clients have access to the latest trends and a wide range of brands offering good value for money, creative solutions, immaculately produced bespoke curtains, blinds, soft furnishings, wallpapers, statement lighting and, above all, an expert and friendly service.’

The studio also offers gift vouchers and a wedding voucher service, which means the happy couple can pool their gifts to create a home, choosing colour schemes, furnishings and finishing touches together.
